The roots of Greek music dates back to the Byzantine period, where each region of Greece had its own unique style of playing, song style, and even specific musical instruments.

 

Vol.1 of the series takes us on a tour through the Mediterranean Tavernas of the Greek Islands’ coastlines. Featuring a range of traditional local instruments including the famous Buzuki guitar to the soulful Cretan Lyra, local percussive instruments and Greek vocals.
