There is a problem with the input signal of the Mac version. Use the following method to fix it. The same is true for Cubase 12.

The correct approach is to re-sign the app and allow it to use the microphone.

sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – /Applications/Cubase 12.app

sudo xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Cubase 12.app

You can enter:

sudo codesign –force –deep –sign – drag the application into the application and press Enter

sudo xattr -d -r com.apple.quarantine Drag the application into the application and press Enter

Open the program and allow access to the microphone

Highlights
Clear speech is the most important element in audio storytelling for streaming content, films, and television. Nuendo 12 includes numerous new features and improvements to help ensure that dialogue is not only heard clearly, but also that sound designers and post-production studios can work as quickly, accurately, and efficiently as possible. With headline-making new features for dialogue recording and editing, creating headphone-based binaural mixes, and more, Nuendo 12 can truly be called the home of dialogue.

DialogueEdit
Nuendo 12 delivers significant improvements to cleaning and editing dialogue tracks, helping you deliver clear, natural-sounding speech stems while minimizing the time spent editing dialogue. New features and enhancements addressing the challenges faced by sound editors include AI-powered dialogue detection, a single-keystroke feature that removes unwanted noise from audio tracks and preserves only the dialogue. Nuendo 12 also adds the ability to align multiple clips from positional recordings to multiple references, enabling subtle time corrections without complex workarounds, and easily integrates third-party technologies designed to make the lives of sound editors easier.

Auto-Align® Post Support
The distance between a lavalier microphone and a boom can change as the performer moves, shifting the phase over time. Nuendo 12 seamlessly integrates with Auto-Align Post 2, making it easier to time and phase align continuously moving microphones. Integrated as an ARA 2 plug-in extension, simply use Auto-Align Post and select a reference track. The process is non-destructive, so the original audio is always intact and can be instantly recalled or reprocessed.

More editing improvements
Nuendo 12 offers many new detailed tools and shortcuts for audio event fade editing, including new dimensions with fade modifier keys.
You can now also use keyboard commands to increase or decrease a range selection in all four directions, including moving the range selection itself.
o There is a new option to create or modify fade-in/fade-out length while resizing an event by holding down a modifier key and using the Selection tool.
In addition to using the mouse and tool modifiers, you can now assign keyboard commands for slide edits.

Conversation recording
As the home of dialogue, in Nuendo 12 we've paid special attention to the challenges of dialogue recording. Not only have we revamped the ADR Taker user interface, we've also added new features and intelligent improvements, whether you're preparing an ADR session, a language dubbing project for Netflix, or working with a third-party application whose scripts you want to quickly import and easily into Nuendo. These features will save you hours of time, reduce repetitive tasks, and radically enhance your workflow.

Netflix's TTAL dialogue script support
Nuendo 12 supports the import and export of TTAL files, Netflix's proprietary script format for dubbing projects. TTAL script content is converted into recordable ADR markers, including dialogue text, characters, and useful metadata such as screen on/off notifications. Script changes made during ADR production can be recorded in the Nuendo marker editor and integrated into the workflow via the TTAL export feature.

Connect to EdiCue
Nuendo 12 supports EdiCue v4, the award-winning ADR cueing application. Creating cues in Nuendo using the EdiCue Project Interface window allows dialogue supervisors to load character text from a PDF shooting script and apply desired attributes for smooth recording sessions. Cue data is stored in Nuendo's loop markers, allowing for instant recording. Alternatively, EdiCue can import cue data from EdiCue PDF cue sheets and send them directly to Nuendo, ready for recording. You can also import data from Nuendo loop markers directly into EdiCue and export customized cue sheets as PDFs.

Immersive Mixing
Nuendo has always been at the forefront of immersive mixing. It was the first application to implement a complete feature set for VR content creation and the first DAW to offer complete, built-in Dolby Atmos content creation. Now, Nuendo 12 takes another major step forward by delivering the most comprehensive binaural mixing environment for headphones. With new improvements in volume automation, remote object panning, spatial monitoring, and more, Nuendo 12 is the application you need for every immersive mix.

Space controller OSC control support
Nuendo 12 also includes full support for Space Controller (OSC). Developed by Sound Particles, experts in disruptive immersive audio tools, Space Controller OSC connects a mobile device to Nuendo and links the device's physical movements to the software, giving users full control over their panning tools simply by pointing their phone where they want the sound to play.

Headphone matching
When listening through headphones, the sound is affected by many factors, including the intended use, build quality, materials, and more. A neutral frequency response is crucial for truly judging the frequency and spatial domain of binaural content on headphones. The Headphones Match plug-in uses FFT-based spectral operators to apply accurate compensation curves to the monitor outputs of 387 different headphone models from 100 manufacturers. Measured in a controlled, identical environment, each curve has over 500 frequency points. You can also simulate the sound of another pair of headphones within the plug-in.

Sound design and music features
Nuendo 12 features enhanced sound design and musical features. There are new and improved FX plug-ins, better integration with external controllers, and of course all the musical features of Cubase 12. This ensures that Cubase projects will run seamlessly in Nuendo, with no loss of data or audio information when cross-grading.

Workflow and productivity improvements
Whether you work in film, TV, game audio, or any other field of audio, we’re always listening to our Nuendo users to find out what new features and improvements they want in the world’s leading sound design and post-production software. Nuendo 12 includes several user-requested updates that will improve workflow and productivity for a variety of different tasks throughout the application.
