Kathryn Shuman is a musician, performer, and composer. She is most known for her work as a vocalist, though she is passionate about hardware synthesizers and proficient on other instruments. As a composer, Shuman weaves widely varying vocal, synthesized and everyday life sounds to create spacious sonic environments. Her diverse work as a recording artist and performer can be heard in different settings from opera (performing with Gustavo Dudamel, the LA Philharmonic, LA Opera, & Meredith Monk) to popular music (with Pomplamoose, KNOWER and film music with Christina Aguilera).
