He’s known for his eclectic sound that seamlessly and distinctively melds African rhythms with the pulse of electronic dance music. LeriQ achieved recognition for his work on Burna Boy’s 2012 single “Like To Party”, and went on to produce the singer’s debut album L.I.F.E (2013), as well as Twice as Tall (2020), which earned him an award at the 63rd Grammy ceremony.

LeriQ is also the founder of Arical Valuables Collective, Africa’s premier NFT Collective enabling content curation of African creators to the metaverse through art, music, and more.

Growing up in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in a household with five brothers, LeriQ drew a lot of his influence from his parents – with his dad being a graphic artist. Surrounded by endless music, LeriQ began his musical journey at the young age of 13. He fondly recalls meeting one of his dad’s friends, who was a producer. “I didn’t know that you could record and overlay, keep recording and overlay, and create music,” he states. “That’s when I fell in love with music.”
