[流行迷幻舞曲素材]Moment Catharsis Carousel, a Himera moment [WAV, MiDi]（231Mb）插图Toying with the base notes of trance and pop music, Latvian-Irish Amsterdam-based producer Himera molds emotional and story-driven soundscapes. Making music since their 13th birthday, Himera’s early explorations of drumless trance led them to cult status in the post-PC Music scene online and across Europe’s club circuit soon after. 2022 saw the release of their debut LP, ‘Sharing Secrets’, including collaborations with Petal Supply, Hannah Diamond and Tohji, solidifying their unique ability to drive pop and dance music to new levels of euphoria.

 

It’s a challenge to distill the endless emotional buildups of their full-length projects down into a sample pack, but ‘Catharsis Carousel’ comes close, highlighting Himera’s ever-playful palette of twinkling synths, electric toy-like effects, and even 14 MIDI files of pure arpeggiated artistry.

 

“This pack came about when I was experimenting with new textures and trying to recreate video game and toy sounds, including some quintessential Himera impacts, endless risers and melodies and harsh, hardstyle-inspired basses,” Himera tells us over a lossy facetime call on a 6AM bus ride home from the club. “It’s a box of emotional rollercoaster chords, evolving arpeggios and dizzy, cartoonish soundbites to fulfill your inner childlike wonder.”
