Naiad is a deeply expressive new instrument for the free Soundbox player – a collection of lush, evolving soundscapes designed to move, breathe, and flow.

Inside, you’ll find 15 handcrafted presets, each made up of four beautifully shaped layers. These layers don’t just sit still – they drift and dance around each other using Soundbox’s Vector feature, creating motion, emotion, and a sense of endless depth. It feels alive.

The sound is rich and cinematic, almost orchestral at times – with string-like textures that shimmer, swell, and unfurl slowly over time. Naiad is all about tone, texture, and movement. It’s perfect for those moments when you want the music to feel like it’s floating or pulling you forward.

Each layer is built from custom sounds created using a blend of vintage and modern gear – including the ASM Hydrasynth Explorer, Korg Wavestation, Arturia MiniBrute, and the Casio VZ-1. These raw tones have been carefully reshaped into something entirely new and inspiring – unique voices that give Naiad its unmistakable character.

For those who prefer a more natural and meditative tuning, we’ve also included a dedicated 432Hz version of Naiad, with all 15 presets fully retuned. This version offers a slightly softer, more harmonious feel – ideal for healing, meditation, and deep ambient work.

Please note: Naiad is not a traditional pad instrument that plays individual notes. Each preset in Naiad is a carefully crafted, evolving soundscape made from layered chords and textures.
