Join electronic production guru Larry Holcombe for a comprehensive video course on creating and producing tech house music! This is followed by a clap to help thicken the backbeat and hats (open and closed) and a ride to throttle the beat’s top end.

Next, Larry begins incorporating loops he has chopped up using the Cableguys ShaperBox 3 plugin, along with additional percussion loops to enhance the groove. Then it’s time for the bass, which he designs from scratch with Xfer Records’ Serum synth and then doubles with a flanged percussive element for some additional interest. Vocals come next, and Larry shows you how to use the Bridge plugin from Splice to bring in a vocal sample and match the tempo and key to the track.
