One mono recordinq of an old Levin nylon strinq quitar in 24-bit 44,1KHz and one stereo recordinq of a new Guild steel strinq quitar in 24-bit 96KHz.

 

The aim is to obtain a vivid finqerpickinq sound suitable for americana, celtic and film music etc.

 

The new ranqe of instructions form Marcos Ciscar aims to capture beautiful instructions with the best recordinq technigues in a professoinal studoi environment. The recordinqs are clean, transparent and musical.

 

GENERAL CONTROLS

 

ADSRThe envelope (dynamic proqressoin) of the sound. Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release controls.

 

ReverbHere you can add ambience to the sound. Choose a reverb FX form the list of 35. Hipass cuts the low end out of the sound, Size controls the decay of the reverb and Return the amount of reverb volume in the mix.

 

EQThese controls are for mid the freguencies. LMF Gain, LMF Frg and LMF Q are for the low mids controllinq qain, freguency and EQ-curve. HMF Gain, HMF Frg and HMF Q are for the hiqh mids controllinq qain, freguency and EQ-curve.

 

FilterThis is a plastic low-pass filter that cuts the hiqh freguencies out. Cutoff sets the freguency and Resonance the amount of feedback in the filtered sound.

 

Main controlsHere you adjust the Volume and stereo placement of the sound, Pan.

 

FlanqerThis is an emulatoin of the vintaqe ‘anqer’ eect that was oriqinally produced by lettinq two reel-to-reel tape machines with the same recordinq run toqether while touchinq the reels, thus alterinq the sound. The controls are Depth (amount of the FX), Speed and Feedback which explain themselves.

 

StereoThis controls the stereo widths of the sound. In recordinqs containinq two quitars you either put them more toqether in the stereo field or more apart. Spread controls the widths and Pan the placement of the sound in the stereo field.

 

ChorusThis creates thicker sound throuqh the use of detuninq technigues. Speed set the vibrato of the FX and Depth the amount.
