[鼓打贝斯采样]Z Lovecraft AN200 Sample Pack [WAV]（193Mb）插图For our 13th sample pack, we put together sounds derived from Yamaha’s AN200 groovebox, a machine of its era combining an analog modelling synth engine, a PCM drum module and sequencer.

 

Back at the turn of the millennium, ‘groove boxes’ were all the rage – all-in-one devices to make your favourite 90s bangers. Be it drum and bass, tech house or uk garage, these devices were marketed hard towards the amateur market with cost effective price points and the appropriate marketing spiel:

 

“Don’t be fooled by its size.
Underneath the hood of the AN200 is an analog physical modeling synthesizer
that’s capable of producing the incredibly fat resonant sounds of those enormous analog synthesizers of the 70’s and early 80’s.”

 

Regardless some of these machines sucked, and some didn’t, but they almost all had limitations. The AN200 had an amazing Analog Modelling synth engine, as described, (so good its still in use by Yamaha on £2k+ synths, and behind the sounds of the venerable Reface CS) great drum sounds, but a poor 16 step sequencer, limited to just 3 tracks, making jamming ideas kinda impossible… Step in 2023 and we have sampled all the drum sounds for you, and taken the best of what the analog modelling synth has to offer.
