[Songbooks]Mark Phillipson Wide Open Space by Mansun（13Mb）插图Thanks to VIP Anthony Jones for suggesting this one. I’ve always loved this song – so this has been on the list for a long time. I saw Mansun play the Union Bar in Maidstone, Kent. It’s where the bass player comes from (and went to the same school as our son) so they must have chosen it as a warm up gig before a festival performance in Netherlands a couple of days after. They were on Top of the Pops the week after – so they were pretty well known at the time. It was a very small gig – in an underground club. Low ceilings and very sweaty. They were awesome – one of the top 5 gigs I’ve ever seen… and I’ve seen a few. So – enjoy this one Anthony – I certainly did!
