The focus of the soundset was use the internal synth engine, using mainly the subtractive part, pushing it as far as possible with additional FM, Unison and the effects in version 3 of Pigments like the multiband compressor and chorus from the Juno.

To make the soundset more versatile, we added a handful of modern drum samples from the Elektron Analog Rytm as well as some inspirational vocal phrases spoken by a speech synthesizer.

 

BONUS SOUNDSET: BEYOND PIGMENTS
To bring out another aspect of the sounds we remade our personal favourite sounds based on the concept of old-school Romplers. Instead of using the analog oscillators, we based the this library on more traditional soundsources such as real pianos, strings, guitars, electric pianos, basses – and of course synth sounds – from the Pigments 3 sample library.​
