‘Nordic Jazz’ from Producer Loops and The Sound of Merlin is a follow-up to Norwegian Jazz sample packs, ‘Compassion’ and ‘Revive’. This time, a flugelhorn player and guitar player accompany the atmospheres, soundscapes, melodies and electronic beats. This pack was inspired by iconic artists such as Bugge Wesseltoft and Nils Petter Molvaer.

‘Nordic Jazz’ has been built around one basic loop: an acoustic drum loop treated in such a way that it sounds like a groovy bass loop. Using this loop as a foundational rhythmic plateau, the musicians have painted a live tapestry of improvised solos and big lush atmospheric soundscapes on top of it. These solos and atmospheres offer an excellent source of raw material to be chopped and rearranged into multitude of different arrangements for genres as diverse as Lofi Hip Hop, Chillout, Chill Trap or Ambient.
