Traditionally crafted from walnut wood and strung with numerous metal strings, this instrument is renowned for its rich, celestial sound, capable of producing vast, sublime melodies and intricate rhythmic patterns. Its versatility and unique tonal quality make it an enchanting addition to any musical composition, seamlessly blending with both traditional and modern genres.

 

This Santoor pack is created by Kamaljeet Ahluwalia, a pioneering musician known for her innovative approach to Indian classical music. Kamaljeet began her musical journey at the age of 7, studying under Sitar Maestro Dharambir Singh (MBE). She further honed her craft under the guidance of Santoor Maestro Harjinderpal Singh and is currently under the tutelage of the legendary Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma. With a deep-rooted foundation in Indian classical music, Kamaljeet has carved a unique path, bringing the ethereal sounds of the Santoor to a global audience.

 

Recorded at the renowned Sound Factory Studio in LA, this sample pack features meticulously captured sounds of the Santoor in various scales and tunings. Utilizing a multi-configuration microphone setup, Kamaljeet delivers a rich tapestry of tones and textures, from delicate, soothing melodies to vibrant, rhythmic bursts.
