First up is a collection by DLR, who is responsible for a huge amount of releases on well-respected Drum and Bass labels, Dispatch Recordings, Hardware, Sonorous Music, and plenty of forthcoming material on Metalheadz, Shogun and Horizons. Working with Octane, they created one of the most popular DnB sample packs of the past few years for Loopmasters, heavily influencing producers of all calibres, if you have had your ear to the scene, guaranteed you will have bounced along the dance floor by one of their beats or basslines, and now comes the second helping straight from DLR’s laboratory, fresh, still in the protective packaging, ready to be injected into experimental and original compositions around the globe.

One thing you can be sure of this is not a collection of sounds that has been found knocking around on old hard drives, or rehashed kicks and snares from other packs, these sounds have been carefully sculpted and crafted with scientific precision, combining breaks, layering kicks, filtering the baselines, and warping the pads he has left no stone unturned, ensuring Specimen (X) will be the go to tool kit for not only DLR himself, but we believe this is a must have sample collection for all conciseness producers.
