Tonight I’ve been playing around with using Note Echo to generate beat patterns and have decided to make it a full video that I may shoot this week, but here is a teaser set. Basically you trigger the note echoes once to start off a midi effect event chain to trigger the rest of the notes, but if you use expression control before and after the note echoes you can get some interesting rhythms, in conjunction with using lots of samples mapped to various velocity layers, and effects.
