Midnight Dreams, is a special Signature label release of royalty free loops inspired by the jazz-funk and soul-jazz era of in the 70’s that served as the prime sample catalog for the pinnacle of the golden era of hip hop in the early 90’s. 

Dive into these dreamy soundscapes featuring masterful musicianship that is sure to spark endless ideas. These loops and songstarters have everything from introspective and contemplative piano sequences, beautiful tones and rhythms from locked bass and drum grooves to expressive flute, trumpet and sax solos. 

This pack was composed and musically directed by Matthew Smythe, who touts an extensive resume as a musician, producer and educator, supporting major artists while also regularly leading his organ trio in the New York music scene. 

Featured on this pack is a heavyweight lineup of seasoned pros who have careers and credits spanning decades: Santi Debriano on bass who is a band leader and a sideman who has toured and recorded with the likes of the Sam Rivers Trio and Freddie Hubbard; Kahlil Kwame Bell on drums who has had an extensive career collaborating with the likes of Roberta Flack, Erykah Badu and Prince; and on saxophone and flute David Lee Jones who has toured and recorded with many legends while still being the current saxophonist for the Digable Planets and the Charles Mingus Big Band to this day.
