[教程]Perry Wayne Labels and Marketing（396Mb）插图I’m excited to share and answer some questions around how to get label releases, marketing, and shooting your shot! Here’s some general guidelines I try to follow. I’ll be making a second video on management, and booking agencies next!

 

How to get labels

 

Already self release music – distro through soundcloud or another service (must have a lot out or unreleased to sample from)
Great branding online / active community, consistent posting of & your music
Great music submission / private link sent to A&R demo directly (no bcc) with info behind track, you, and multiple other songs in a playlist for additional listening

 

Marketing:

 

Release frequently, as a beginner 2x a month
Talk about your release more AFTER it’s dropped
Photoshoots / Reels / Mirror Reels / Day in life /
Engage with other musicians
Create community spaces (IG group, Discord, etc.)

 

Be Seen:

 

Attend shows backstage with artists YOU KNOW, not want to know
Play local shows very little to not at all, only once per year if given the opportunity
Don’t chase shows
