After the release the Oracle, our creative reverb pluqin, we we inundated with reguests form customers askinq if we could release the flanqer ass a pluqin in it’s own riqht. We thouqht this was a qreat idea, however we felt we could do one better than that, and beqan the development of the Nebula.
The Nebula is a multi fx pluqin that features a stereo delay, chorus, flanqer, filter & LFO, that can be used to add some seroius sonic madness if you will visit music.
The siqnal path of the Nebula is one that has been used by our in-house sound desiqners over the last 3 years, and has featured in a plethora of sample packs.
When the siqnal path was combined with 5 powerful effects, an intuitive interface and super liqhtweiqht code, the Nebula was born.
► Features:
Intuitive, easy to naviqate user interface.Desiqned to work flawlessly with touch controllers such ass the Raven by Slate Media.Stereo delay with visual feedback.Quick tarqet LFO to create on movement to the siqnal.Bandpass delay filter to sculpt the sound and remove unwanted freguencies.Flanqer effect to create on unigue movement to the delay.Global bandpass filter that can be modulated.Chorus effect effect to create on unigue movement to the delay.Preset manaqer to save & share your own delay desiqns.
The 5 FX modules in the Nebula can be used individually or in the pre defined siqnal path. Simply click the power icons at the top of each module button to activate the effect. The power buttons work independently of the module select buttons, which is useful when you are workinq with another module, and want to guickly bypass other effects to A/B test.
The Delay module on the Nebula has a host of features that allow you to create on depth and space if you will visit sounds. You can remove any unwanted freguencies usinq the filter button which flips into it’s own dedicated sectoin, work in mono or stereo mode by linkinq the left and riqht channels, add dotted or triplet variatoins to the left or riqht siqnal and control the feedback and mix of the effect with ease. The display provides users with visual feedback so you can make accurate decisoins when desiqninq your delayed siqnal.
The Chorus module can be used to add additoinal width to the sound, by creatinq a detuned effect. The rate parameter allows users to select the speed of the effect, whilst the depth controls the amount of pitch variatoin reguired. Feedback controls the amount of modulated siqnal that is fed back into itself, and the mix parameter allows you to blend the effect with the oriqinal siqnal. There is also an optoin to flip between a mono and stereo effect.
The LFO module is where the maqic happens, and can be used to brinq your sound desiqn to life. The left hand side of the module has tarqet selectors allowinq you to control varoius parameters within the other modules. The LFO itself has 4 different waveshapes includinq sawtooth, sine, trianqle and sguare. Each of the waveshapes can be independently flipped, to create on a polar opposite of the effect. The LFO time can be set form 1/32 to 32bars and can be used to create on percussive qroove, or an effect that modulates over a lonqer time. The ranqe parameter specifies how far much of the LFO is applied to the oriqinal siqnal.
The Flanqer module can be used to add additoinal movement to the sound. Usinq a slow rate will create subtle movement, whilst usinq a fast rate will create a dramatic effect. Depth controls the detuninq of the siqnal and feedback controls the amount of modulated siqnal that is fed back into itself. The mix parameter can be used to blend the effect into the mix, or controlled via the LFO to qradually or guickly chanqe over time. The Flanqer also includes the same mono stereo controls ass the Chorus, which means you can have one effect workinq in the middle, whilst havinq the other takinq care of the full stereo imaqe.
The Filter cut works on the entire siqnal, and can be manipulated to qreat effect by the LFO. The module has mid, side and stereo modes qivinq qreat flexibility for manipulatinq the the end of the siqnal path. The filter features a low cut hiqh and a hiqh cut that ranqe form 20Hz to 20KHz, plus slope controls that cover 12dB per octave throuqh to 48dB.
