Changes in Finale 26

  • Automatically stack markers: When adding more than one marker to a note, they are now automatically stacked - and intelligently - without the need for manual editing.
  • Legato line/marking integration: When you add or adjust legato lines, existing markings automatically adjust to avoid bumping into each other. Finale knows what markings should be outside the legato lines and will also spread out stacked markings so that everything fits.
  • Instant vibrato and roll: When you place a trill or roll on a note, whether it has a resting tail, no resting tail, or is part of a group of notes, Finale adjusts the note as needed. Enjoy the finely tuned results without getting too hung up on the details.
  • Horizontal centerFinale version 26 also lets you flip symbols from one side of a note to the other with a keystroke. It also knows when to place a symbol on the stem or center of a note and does so when making the change.
  • New emojis and symbolsFinale's library of expressions and symbols has been completely revamped, expanded, and refined for playback. Not only do they look better, but you can also save time by eliminating the need to create and configure them.
  • Augmented chordsChord notation: Musicians often debate chord notation. Whether you prefer 1, 2, or 3 letter notation, Finale now recognizes and favorites them as you type, making them look and sound great together.
  • Performance Enhancements:Improved support for high-definition screens, bug fixes, many new templates, and more.

Function Introduction

1. Create your way

Endgame offers you the freedom to create both what and how you want. Whether you're imagining a simple introduction, a Broadway score, or something truly unconventional, you enjoy the flexibility to make your music any way you want and to put it in the order and manner that best supports your inspiration.

2. Edit

Entering your music in Finale gives you freedom. In an instant, you can move measures, change keys, and alter your music in countless ways. Finale even offers editing input, such as indicating when a note is outside the range of an instrument.

3. Listen

Great sound inspires you and your listeners. Finale's exclusive human playback can make any music sound with the nuances of a human performer. Plus Finale includes a vast library of world-class Garritan instrument sounds with astonishing realism. Hear them below.

4. Share

Music is meant to be shared. During the creation process, you can share files back and forth with end users (and others) thanks to built-in MusicXML support. When you are ready to share the results, you can produce printed scores, audio files, PDFs, and more; no expense was spared in order to achieve the best performance.

5. Create your way

Finale has always been known as the notation software that can create anything. Today's Finale automates many tasks, saving you time while ensuring you retain all the flexibility Finale is known for. Now you can create the music you imagine without compromise, faster than ever before. Take control of your music, your creative process, and your legacy.

6. Pronunciation of auto-stacking

When you add multiple articulations to a single annotation, they now automatically (and intelligently) overlay, eliminating the need for manual editing.

7. Ignore/Clarity Interaction

As you add or adjust blurs, existing articulations will automatically adjust to avoid collisions. Final knows which articulations should be inside and outside of a blurred articulation and will also break up stacked articulations so that everything fits.

8. Instant Boom and Roll

When you place a tremolo or roller on a note, Finale adjusts the note's stem as needed, whether the note is marked, unmarked, or part of a group of beams. Enjoy high-quality results without the fuss.
