DSEQIt is a dynamics processor that works in the frequency domain. Thanks to the self-adjusting frequency bands, DSEQ is removing digital roughness on the fly.

DSEQ does its job with maximum transparency, even when pushed hard. This avoids distortion, phase shifts, and artifacts even with critical sound material. DSEQ offers several quality modes that can even tame odd frequencies.

Top DSEQ offers an extremely easy-to-use interface. With just a few parameters (threshold, selectivity, and attack/release), you can cover a wide range of applications. Even the initial parameter set can make your mix more transparent. Simply select the threshold parameter and then gradually lower it. From there, you can use pre-filters to focus on specific frequency regions.

Dynamic Control
DSEQ analyzes the input or sidechain signal in the frequency domain and then triggers the dynamic EQ based on a threshold. This is done for each available singular frequency
During the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT).

Frequency selectivity determines whether and to what extent adjacent frequencies are also affected. Attack and Release control how quickly the Dynamic EQ reacts.

The Slope parameter allows you to shift the spectrum of the input or sidechain signal before it enters the Dynamic EQ. With positive slope values, the Dynamic EQ for higher frequencies is triggered earlier, and for lower frequencies later. If you're using the Witch Pink Noise mixing/mastering method, simply set the Slope value to +3dB.

GR Strength controls gain reduction, like a ratio in a compressor.

GR max limits the overall gain reduction to a certain value to avoid over-compression and artifacts.

Custom thresholds
Custom thresholds turn DSEQ into a flexible and highly precise multiband compressor. Use any audio file or DAW input as a custom threshold to align the dynamic EQ's thresholds to your audio material.

Interactive equalizer display
Master EQ/spectrum display, allowing you to monitor the delta spectrum (input minus output) spectrum and adjust the pre-filter response curve.

Pre-filtration control
DSEQ works across the entire frequency range. You can restrict the effect to certain frequency regions (e.g., to remove Essien's highs). Thus, the signal for the dynamic equalizer can be processed using a pre-filter. DSEQ offers various filter types, such as cutting, peaking, and shelf filters. The filter sensitivity determines how strongly the dynamic equalizer recognizes the signal.

Intelligent artificial intelligence
Thanks to its intelligent AI capabilities, DSEQ V2 makes taming digital harshness easier. Set up DSEQ as normal, select the desired AI learning mode, press play to start your DAW, and then press the learn button. DSEQ calculates the optimal slope and threshold parameters in seconds.
