Creative concept: The spirit behind the general

Shogun is inspired by Japan's Edo period (1603–1868), a peaceful era under the Tokugawa shogunate, when samurai warriors shifted away from warfare and turned to cultural cultivation, spiritual practice, and artistic creation.

"Shogun" originally meant "commander of the army" and later became a synonym for the actual ruler of Japan, symbolizing the guardian of authority and culture.

Every sound in the Shogun library pays homage to this history and spirit—from the war-drum-like beats of the taiko to the crooning of the shakuhachi played by wandering monks, they all echo the honor, discipline, and creativity of that era.
