Sometimes you need the crisp attack of a steel-string acoustic guitar, but the unique tonal qualities of nylon strings are often the perfect choice for a more gentle acoustic guitar tone. The rich, full-bodied tone of the Evolution Modern Nylon is perfect for classical guitar and also works well with pop/rock guitar tracks. You can also achieve realistic flamenco guitar parts by moving the pick closer to the bridge and using the included guitar body percussion effects.

We developed this library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, a renowned Utah-based recording studio. Guy Randle, owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, used analog audio equipment to meticulously sculpt and emphasize the rich tones of nylon guitar.

For the sampling process, Guy Randle enlisted the help of versatile guitarist Michael Dowdle. Dowdle boasts an impressive musical history, having recorded guitar for artists such as Marie Osmond, the Osmond Brothers, John Schneider, David Archuleta, and The Jets, and played guitar on countless film and television scores. He has also performed with artists like Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys, The Coasters, and Sam Cardon. Michael's wide-ranging musical output has earned him a reputation for playing a wide range of styles, from elegant classical guitar playing to rugged blues guitar. It's this versatility that makes the guitar samples in this library adaptable to a wide range of nylon guitar playing styles.
